I just went downtown for a cheesesteak at Frank’s and saw three girls I waited on at work a few days ago. They left me a nice comment card I remember, and told me I was cute. I should have said hello.

I can’t believe it still. After the months of job searching, the applications, the resumes, the phone call from Katz’s, the first and second interview, the test after test after test, and then the 3 and a 1/2 hour long final test (which I surprisingly got a 98 on!) I’m here. I’ve never been this happy. Not in years. I literally cannot stop smiling.

I just finished my last day of training, and I feel SO confident about tomorrow! My test is at 11 AM and I’m still lacking on some parts of the menu, however it’s nothing I can’t push through tonight and know by morning. I have work today from 6 PM - whenever, doing expo (running food out to the tables). Then tomorrow is my final test, which will decide if I can stay at Katz’s or not.

So good news bad news
Good news: I have a good shot at working with Katz’s. Second interview is Monday. This is awesome!
Bad news: I would need to be available at all times, at least for a few months. So, for the first semester at least, I would need to take online classes at HCC again. No being on campus at UH…
Not sure what to do right now.
So Katz’s called and I have an interview tomorrow night.

With every restaurant wanting applicants to come by from 2-4, and taking about half an hour to fill out an application and sit in an interview, I only have time to make it two places max. This isn’t going fast enough. After 5:00 I just started hitting up places and filling out applications at lightning speed, then leaving them for the manager to read tomorrow or whenever. I hate doing that.
